The goodies:

*You might notice my box was missing the Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam – it came a few days later. No worries though since they sent me email notification that this might be the case.

Barre3 Standing Slim DVD and Online Program

I’m in the middle of a weight loss challenge at work again as I write this review (last year I lost 10 pounds, have kept it off, and am aiming to lose another 10 this year), so I will be trying this exercise DVD out soon. I actually forgot I had it – my hubby volunteered to make me a digital copy and buried it in a pile of stuff in our office that I recently happened upon 😦 Anywho, this 30 minute barre routine promises to deliver “fast body-shaping results” that I look forward to seeing for myself!

Starlooks 5 Shade Shadow Palette in “St. Tropez”

I ended up gifting this eyeshadow palette since I have enough to share 🙂

$41

*also included a 15% discount on the FabFitFun Signature Set

Orly FX in “Go Deeper”

Orly products have always impressed me, but I haven’t gotten around to sporting this awesome “Ocean Blue Holographic Glitter” polish yet. I can see wearing this in the summer.

$10

Sparitual Nail Lacquer in “From the Heart”

I ended up gifting this too since I already had a couple of polishes in a very similar shade – a “Deep Red Creme”

$12

Orville Redenbacher Popcorn

I enjoyed this “Classic Butter & Sea Salt” microwave popcorn as a snack, and would consider buying again in the future. At half the fat of regular popcorn, I don’t feel guilty eating the whole bag 🙂

$6.39 @ Amazon

Drinkwel

These multivitamins are for “health-conscious” drinkers and support liver health by helping your body eliminate toxins.

$39.95/90 capsules

Surface Trinity Protein Cream

I’ve been using this spray-on hair cream on days when I wash my hair. While my hair is still wet, I spray it in before applying any other products to help keep my hair smooth.

$24.80 @ Amazon

Health Warrior Chia Bar in “Apple Cinnamon”

This snack bar is only 100 calories, and full of all kinds of awesome stuff like 1000mg of Omega 3 and plant-based proteins. A little on the pricey side for my taste though.

$23.50/15 bars

Gorjana Canyon Scarf

I absolutely LOVE this scarf! The colors and cute canary print make it easy to incorporate into several outfits (both work and play).

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam

Facial cleansers seem to be a permanent fixture in FFFVIP boxes, which is fine with me! It’s something everyone can use and the brands included are usually on the luxe side. I like that this formula is foaming, and it leaves your face feeling clean and soft – it even smells yummy too!

Summer FabFitFun VIP Box Review

I anxiously awaited the Summer FFF VIP box to see if it was (hopefully) better than the Spring box. I do have to say that I am a LOT happier with this season’s selections!

The goodies:

Purlisse Pur-Delicate

This is something I really look forward to trying out! I’m all about skincare, especially eye makeup removers and facial cleansers. I’m always looking for the next best thing 🙂 This Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser is “a milk soap-free, non-foaming cleanser that gently washes away dirt and makeup. Leaves skin exceptionally clean without stripping its natural oils. Soothes sensitive skin and protects for cellular damage.” Update to come…

$22/5.6 oz.

Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Hypo-allerginic Facial Towelettes

I love every “Yes To” product I have tried to date, and these will be added to my travel bag for an upcoming trip to Vegas this Fall. I like bringing makeup remover wipes when I travel since they’re less messy, and you don’t have to use a hotel towel on your face. Just sayin…

$2.50/10 Towelettes

$11.94/30 Count (Pack of 2)

Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray

I’ve never tried a facial spray before, but have read about this Evian spray in numerous places. Maybe I’ll try this out when I travel as well? I’m sure I’ll thank myself for packing this to rehydrate my face after the 4 hour plane trip out to Vegas (and back, then 5 hours on the road to a family reunion). Update to come…

3.69/2 pack (5 oz + 1.7 oz)

Infinity Sun Glow on the Go

I’ll be trying this self tanner out soon – it may be yet another Vegas trip item depending on the results I get during a trial run. Application is via aerosol, and the formula contains an all-natural blend of essential oils, antioxidants, and botanicals. Update to come…

$20/Travel Size 3 oz.

$30/5 oz.

KIND “Maple Glazed Pecan & Sea Salt” Bar

This was the first thing in the box that I tried 🙂 I replaced my normal breakfast bar with this yummy bar, which almost held me over until lunch as well as my normal bar. I would buy these if they had more protein!

$8.39/12 Bars

It Hair Care Surf Spray

I’m really liking the Sea Salt Spray I got in July’s Julep Maven Box, and am curious to see how this surf spray compares to it. The spray contains natural sea salt, marine sea kelp, and It Hair Care’s patented Algae Triage Complex. Update to come…

$6.99/5.1 oz

Ivory Mason Sunglasses

The jury’s still out on these sunglasses. I like the color, but the frames seem waaaaay too small for my face. I almost feel like these are made for a child – seriously. My face isn’t that wide…I may end up swapping them out for another pair available on Ivory Mason’s website. FFF offers to let subscribers return the sunglasses received for $9.95 (plus an additional whatever you end up paying to ship the pair you got back to them). Also included was a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a bag for storage.

$135/similar style

Catalina Su Lip Gloss

Nude lipsticks used to scare me, but I think I’ve gotten over that…given that it’s the right shade for your skin tone. I’m not sure that this Catalina Su lip gloss is that shade though. Too much gold shimmer for me 😦 The makeup line is created by Giuliana’s makeup artist.

$14

Orly Nail Polish in “Choreographed Chaos”

There wasn’t anything on the info card about this nail polish, so I’m assuming it is a box “extra.” I am a fan of Orly polishes, and this bubble gum pink color will more than likely end up on my toes soon.

Spring fabfitfun VIP Box Review

This was the inaugural fabfitfun VIP Box, which guaranteed a full-sized bottle of MoroccanOil. This promise was indeed fulfilled, but the rest of the box was pretty disappointing for me 😦

IMG_0445 IMG_0446

Let’s start with some of the high points…

MoroccanOil

I was excited to get this item in particular because I’m running low on my usual hair oil, Bumble & Bumble’s Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. I know I gave some of this to my aunt a while back since she had starting using argan oil, and wanted to see how it compares to the B&B (which does a great job of smoothing away frizz from my thick, curly hair).

Zoya Nail Polish by fabfitfun in “FabFitFun Fuchsia”

This is a beautiful color, but I already had an almost identical OPI shade. I gave it to my mom so it wouldn’t go to waste 🙂

per-fekt Brow Perfection Gel

This was considered a “bonus item,” and I still haven’t tried it out. Maybe over the weekend when I’m at home for a while…it’s tinted, and I have always used clear brow gel like Anastasia Brow Gel.

IMG_0451

Now for the so-so stuff…

thinkThin High Proteien Bar in “Creamy Peanut Butter”

This was my breakfast one morning, and it did a GREAT job of curbing my appetite until around 1:00 (and it should for 20g of protein)! The taste wasn’t terrible, but was a little on the chalky side. I would probably buy this product in the future.

Jouer Lip Gloss

OK, I don’t know what the deal is with subscription boxes sending me lip gloss with glitter, but I will give it a try. I was wrong about a previous glittery color that turned out to be awesome, but the color really has me concerned this won’t work for me. We’ll see…

Blue String Bracelet

I’m assuming this was also considered a “bonus item,” and I have to say I do not like (close up below). First of all, I detest gold jewelry. Second of all, this thing would barely fit around my wrist, and I have pretty small wrists. Oh yeah, not to mention the fact that I had a hell of a time clasping it myself. Boo.

IMG_0450

IMG_0452

Now for the part I actually HATE.

JewelMint Jewels

Again, I hate gold – and this stuff looks CHEAP. About the only thing that impressed me about this was the fact that it came in individual bags.

IMG_0447 IMG_0448 IMG_0449

The verdict: Not worth $50 in my opinion. I’ll give it another try with the summer box.
